  " Rustic, Tribal and Primitive"

OOAK Artisan Showcase presents a special exhibit featuring handcrafted jewelry designs by artisans Gloria Ewing and Norbel Marolla.

Having admired these two artisans' work online for years, it's exciting to be able to bring them together to showcase their work and introduce their talent to Central New York .

  • Gloria Ewing of Chrysalis Tribal Jewelry, is located in Minneapolis, MN. Inspired by a love for Native American and African art and clothing, her handmade original jewelry is designed, and assembled, by her alone. Her goal is to always be evolving, but to stay true to tribal roots. Gloria’s work stands out from other designers because of its uniquely primitive approach and tribal character.

  • Norbel Marolla of She Flies Again, is located in Detroit, MI.  Her style has been described as rustic and earthy. Norbel is drawn to the primitive style in the jewelry of ancient cultures. Spending time studying the many images she has gathered, her design inspiration comes from the emotions and the feelings they evoke within her. Much of her jewelry is crafted using components created by artisans with a connection to the cultures that inspire her.

Their work will remain on display through the month of May.

We hope you will be able to stop by to see their beautiful design work for yourself!

Our gallery is located at 425 W. Thomas St., Rome NY.

Additional parking in the rear of the building, entrance

to the lot is on Howland Ave.
